We have a leader who's ugly, short, bald, wears a hearing aid and glasses, has a shiny round face
from (probably dermabrasion) treatments, speaks in a monotone that grates on the ears, lacks wit,
charm, humour and imagination whose policies are regressive, divisive and punitive, and who
is demonstrably racist and sexist. About as unattractive as it's possible to be outside of being
an axe murderer.

And yet Labor will still not beat him at the next election.

Doesn't matter what he looks like, he is still a "glorious great leader" to many Australians - as long as the mainstream media choose to paint him as one.

Nor I think could Kevin Rudd, although he would probably make a good
Foreign Minister.

And probably not Julia Gillard either - there's too much prejudice in the community against women in the top job.

I thought some years ago that Carmen Lawrence was a good possibility,

I admire his intellect, and the way he always has all his facts together. I just think he lacks
the passion and personality that would put him over the line.

But then again, look at Howard. Actually, I'd rather not look at him.

He's a remarkably honest politician. Not at all good at media manipulation or getting the party behind him though.

But unfortunately he's an uninspiring personality and a poor speaker.

But I was glad when he won preselection against the right's political hack to retain his seat.

10. I think he must have thought Howard would appreciate it too.

Or perhaps he doesn't care much either way. But Howard is very image-
conscious - he's had his face dermabrased, his teeth capped, and his
eyebrows plucked. He's still ugly, but calling him bald wouldn't make
him happy at all.
