I guess Melbourne is stepping up security for the games!

I just had four black helicopters fly over my home (Bonbeach) at a rather low height and a fast speed. And I must say it was bloody well frightening.

My mum had seen these choppers before, but this is the first time for me. Have any other Melbourne DUers seen them?

1. I heard military planes for ~an hr. in Mentone this a.m.

I will look for black helicopters. We get lots of Moorabin Airport small plane traffic so I usually just ignore helicopters.

2. didn't notice them until someone else pointed them out

but then again the police helicopters are ALWAYS buzzing us so I guess I just figured they'd got slightly louder choppers, that said I'm living very near the internationally high profile LAWN BOWLS venue and I hear Osama and friends are particularly displeased with westerners who wear white and have a fondness for Devonshire teas so better safe than sorry
