SO many omissions!

1. Well...

Mike Atherton and Paul Allott. Andy Gray. That cook bloke that advertises Sainsburys. But the winner has to be Bob Willis.

And Ruth Kelly could never be boring. In the way that someone scraping their nails down a blackboard could never be boring ...

On Friday nights he even 'holds court' at the Waitrose branch, swanning round in his cashmere coat, beaming at shoppers like some jumped up manorial squire, all the while despised for loitering around the ten quid a pop Poilaine loaves which nobody ever buys because they're such fetid bourgeoisie crap...

5. A few years ago it would have been an easy answer: Ian Dimwit-Smith!

Dave is not quite in the same league of boring as old Ian. Fayed is a pest, but I wouldn't say boring; and Livingstone, whether you love or hate him, isn't boring.

Of the people listed, I think I'd vote for Victoria Beckham: a celebrity ONLY for being a celebrity. But Darling runs her pretty close in the yawn stakes.

In all seriousness though, what a stupid article. I think it's a fair wager that the people who came up with that list for the Independent are the biggest bores of all.
