All the public labour movements, even though I don't agree with all of them.... are on a rotating general strike (pretty well). And now this

"A PROTEST HAS PROMPTED THE CANCELLATION OF A MEETING OF VANCOUVER CITY COUNCIL.
ABOUT A DOZEN ORANGE T-SHIRT-CLAD PROTESTORS FROM THE ACTIVIST GROUP BUS RIDERS UNION STRUGGLED PAST SECURITY AND HAVE FOR THE PAST TWO AND HALF HOURS NOW STAGED A SIT IN PROTEST INSIDE COUNCIL CHAMBERS.
JUST BEFORE 4, THE COUNCIL MEETING WAS CANCELLED AND JUST AFTER 4 EVERYONE INSIDE WAS TOLD TO LEAVE.
ONLY THE PROTESTORS AND SECURITY NOW REMAIN.
THE ACTIVISTS ARE CALLING FOR LOWER TRANSIT FARES."

1. What happened to Translink's windfall earlier this year?

Didn't they get tens of millions in unexpected money because property taxes shot up recently?

Not that I pretend to understand the relationship between BC Transit, Translink and bus fares....
