Required Listening: the Age of Persuasion Podcast
The Age of Persuasion should be required listening for everyone, of every age who is exposed to ads (which means everyone).

If you are in marketing or advertising - it's a how to show.

If you're on the receiving end of advertising it will make you more media savvy - telling you how and why advertisers do what they do and how they are (successfully or unsuccessfully, consciously or subconsciously) trying to manipulate you. Remember that pretty much everyone practices advertising, from big companies to small independents to politicians and political groups of all stripes. Even religions practice advertising. There was a Jesus salesperson at my door earlier today.

For a long time now the Age of Persuasion has been promising pod-casts but that seems to be on hold for the time being. However, as I've said before, if you don't make your programming available in a way that is convenient for people - someone else will.

You can visit http://ageofpersuasion.blogspot.com">ageofpersuasion.blogspot.com or just subscribe directly in itunes (if you don't use iTunes the http://feeds.feedburner.com/ageofpersuasionpodcast">Feedubrner feed is here.)
