who's marching on Tuesday?
There aren't too many of us here, and we're pretty scattered geographically. But there might be pockets of two or three of us, here or there, or people travelling out of their region for the occasion. Nobody wanting to meet up?

I'm not eager to give my own precise location out to the general audience on the internet, but I'd get a kick out of meeting anybody from here who was going to be where I'll be. Could we maybe propose a time and place to meet, for each location where there is likely to be more than one of us? And show up with a bit of paper that says "DU" pinned to our lapel? or wearing one of our beloved poppies? (Any better ideas, anybody?)

Obvious places would be Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Halifax -- and any other biggish centre where there might be 2 or more of us on the day, maybe Calgary?

Working from the list at http://www.acp-cpa.ca/en/NOBUSHCANADA.htm could we set times and places for anyone interested? You know, "under the clock at noon" (or 11:30, for places starting then, or whatever the scheduled start time is in other places, some of which are 5-5:30ish -- demos never start on time, so meeting at the exact supposed starting time would probably be convenient), that sort of thing?

That would mean a specific place by Confederation Park for Ottawa, one by Canada Place for Vancouver, Victoria Park for Halifax, and so on.

If other people also aren't thrilled about saying aloud where they'll be, I could take proposals by PM and then post a list. (I promise, I am very discreet and would never disclose the names/places! -- unless anybody asked for his/her name/place to be passed on to others who will be in the same place, which I could do if requested.)

2. Victoria, BC
I'm hoping to cut out of work early. The Students Against War group has called the event for 5 PM, Centennial Square (next to City Hall).

3. Small Town
I live in a small town, I would be suprised if anybody even knows that Bush is coming to Canada. I will be watching the CBC to see how you guys are doing. I know the CBC will show footage of protests from all over canada.

4. I would LOVE to go to a protest march in the big city
but I live in a small northern community. Will have to be satisfied with watching events on T.V. Please post pictures if possible!

6. If I didn't have exams
I would be there in a heartbeat. It seems that I need to pass though, in order to be taken seriously by the world at large. My boyfriend is trying to get out of work - but it doesn't look promising for him either. So please, if anybody is going - keep this fish in mind.

7. Count me in for Toronto!
I'm sick about not being able to attend in Ottawa! I think it would have been very cathartic for me, after Nov. 2. I will be attending in Toronto, for sure. Already booked a day off work. Need a big group hug right about now!

I'm up for a meet and greet.

8. whew

At least there will be two of us! I mean, in the national sense; unfortunately, not within meet and greet distance though. I'll wave to you from afar. ;)

Maybe I should post the suggestion in GD to catch the Cdns who don't hang out here ... if I didn't have so much work to get done. Anybody want to direct others to this thread?
