A Memorable Harper Quote on Iraq Invasion
Edited on Fri Mar-21-08 01:02 PM by Bragi
Paul Wells, on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the debacle in Iraq, serves up this 2003 statement from Opposition Leader Stephen Harper:

Canada remains alienated from its allies, shut out of the reconstruction process to some degree, unable to influence events. There is no upside to the position Canada took.

— Stephen Harper, Maclean's, Aug. 25, 2003

1. Don't ever let people forget this
Liberals and NDP ought to remind people of this quote often, during the upcoming campaign. Had we have joined the U.S. in Iraq, I think we would have lost over 100 soldiers and spent 10+ billion dollars there.
