Drive the freepers crazy: Harper called himself a 'democrat' last night!
In his victory speech, he stated, "All of our parties have different philosophies, but we are all democrats."

Now, we know what he really meant, but the..."nuance" might just be lost on bushkissers. And seeing that Harper said it, perhaps a few brains will explode in confusion.

Just a silly thought.

Keep your parkas handy for next winter's election.

Edit: seriously, though, there's one thing that separates Harper from Bush, even though Harper's a radical conservative in sheep's clothing (notwithstanding that he'll need to keep that under wraps in Canada, and WILL actually take positions consistant with the centrist wing of the US Democratic Party). Harper's a citizen. He didn't spend his life milking his father's fame and fortune with a spoon up his nose.

4. poor Stephen can't use one of the right-wingers' favourite lines

"This isn't a democracy, it's a republic." Never could figure out what the point was supposed to be, myself.

Maybe Stephen could take to saying "this isn't a democracy, it's a constitutional monarchy" and really make their heads explode.
