An ltte regarding Rove
I submitted this a little while ago...let's see if it gets printed.

Karl Rove made the following comment regarding "liberals and 9/11/01":

"liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers."

He should be ordered to apologize immediately by President Bush. This makes a lie out of two things that President Bush promised.

First, The President promised to be "uniter and not a divider" and having a member of his inner circle make such a hate-filled remark is the most divisive thing that could possibly happen. It does NOTHING to bridge the divides in our nation and only stirs the hatred and resentment. This may eventually lead to violence if not curbed.

Second, the President promised to "change the tone" in Washington. He must stand by his promise and refuse to let any member of his staff perpetuate the tone, the rhetoric of divisivness.

It's time for the President to quit taling about his leadership and start practicing it: Step in and tell Rove that he will not tolerate this kind of rhetoric from his side and challenge the Democrats to follow suit. If he refuses it will be a failure of leadership.

5. That is one of the best LTTE's I've read in awhile.
I like your way of thinking!

We tend to lose sight of the most basic points as a result of having had to endure so many lies for 4 long years. Your letter reminds people about the first lies they were told by this administration.

10. Nice Job, ewag!
I look forward to seeing in print. :toast:

Did they print your last one? I must have missed it. They always screw me up by only printing 2 or 3 during the week and then saving the rest for the Saturday edition. When I'm gone for the weekend, I don't usually take the time to read through it.

14. Sometimes it's okay to let cooler heads prevail.
And, to be fair to the others who live at the same address as the "liberal nut" who had an ltte printed in the local paper.
