State convention: Wisdems has a hotel block!

I got my county newsletter -- the state has reserved a block of rooms at the Radisson Paper Valley in Appleton (the official convention hotel). $96 for a basic room. We decided to go for it -- the difference between that and other hotels 3+ miles away was maybe $10. A cab ride, basically.

Hmmmm.... I might be able to swing that for one night...., so long as I don't spend much on food. Are there in Cheap restaurauns near the Paper Valley Hotel?

2. Well, the hospitality suites usually have free food (after 9 p.m.), plus

if you can find a breakfast to attend, those usually don't cost much (or anything). If you eat meat, the Feingold suite has Sloppy Joes (his family recipe, or something like that).

The hotel itself doesn't look particulary cheap, but Yahoo Maps lists zillions of fast food, coffee, deli, etc. type places within a tenth of a mile.
