Feingold one of 10?
What's with Feingold being listed as one of the 10 senators Obama has to talk to about the public option? I thought Feingold was very firm in supporting the public option.

1. If I had to guess--
Feingold needs to be convinced that whatever public option ends up in the SB is public *enough*.

2. Feingold is one of ten on a negotiating committee
of Democrats working on the health reform bill. They apparently are coming up with some possible alternate ways to get it done. One would have the agency that administers the federal employees' health plans run a system of nonprofit health insurance plans. The health insurance giants could be part of this but they'd have to offer nonprofit plans. I haven't heard any detail about this, but it seems like something that might work for those of us who are drowning in the high premiums they now charge for individual policies.

3. Two extraordinarily intelligent people there with Obama and Feingold.
It would be a privilege to listen to them powwow on just about any subject.

8. Nothing to worry about
A new person with only a few posts to their credit seemed to be upset that you were dissing Russ (obviously didn't read your post thoroughly) and mentioned the words "troll" and "Palin" if I remember correctly . Thanks to whoever alerted the mods on this person's language. I was just steamed on your behalf.
