a thought about the Journal Sentinel
I was in the twin cities this weekend. There are 2 daily newspapers in that metro area 1) Minneapolis Star Tribune and 2) St. Paul Pioneer Press.

I recall that when I was a kid Milwaukee was also a 2 newspaper metro area. You either lived in a Journal house or a Sentinel house.

Then they merged - and it seems that the paper is suffering a slow steady march towards folding.

My thought over the weekend -

Bring back two papers: one for the left leaning readers and one for the right leaning readers.

Advertisers will simply appear in both for the same price...

I'd think this would keep the presses (and a vital local resource) running longer than if they do nothing.
