Obama Campaign: Michelle Obama to campaign in Wisconsin Monday

Mrs. Obama to Kick Off Wisconsin Campaign’s “Women’s Week of Action”

MADISON, Wis.—The Obama campaign today announced that Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential nominee, Senator Barack Obama will campaign in Wisconsin Monday to kick off the Wisconsin campaign’s “Women’s Week of Action.” Mrs. Obama will host Wisconsin Women for Obama rallies in Madison and Milwaukee, and an economic roundtable discussion with working women in Wausau.

On Monday, Senator Barack Obama will also hold a separate event in Green Bay.

The Wisconsin campaign’s “Women’s Week of Action” is an extension of the national effort, “Women for the Change We Need,” an effort to highlight the clear choice women voters have in this election when it comes to the issues that matter most to women and their families. Barack Obama and Joe Biden have long records of standing up for women and families, and they are committed to creating new solutions to reverse the last eight years of an economic policy that supports special interests instead of hardworking American families.

Mrs. Obama began hosting these roundtable discussions a year and a half ago, to hear the real life challenges women have faced through eight years of failed economic policies that have today left our country in the midst of a financial crisis, and share husband’s history of fighting for working families – not big corporations and special interests – and his plans to rebuild the economy so it works for American families. At these events across the country, Mrs. Obama offers her perspective on her husband’s plans to support working women and families, and strengthen the middle class.

This is Mrs. Obama’s first trip to Wisconsin since the state’s Democratic primary in February.

6. I'm not sure...
I did see Obama in Milwaukee on Labor Day and they let people wander in. Please come if you can...believe me, it'll be worth your while. Hearing him speak in person is a remarkable experience!
