U.S. Senator Russ Feingold will hold a listening session in Waukesha County on Saturday, June 21. Senator Feingold has pledged to hold listening sessions in all of Wisconsin’s 72 counties each year of his six-year term and this will be the Senator’s 16th year of holding listening sessions. This session will mark the 47th listening session of 2008, and the 1127th since 1993. If constituents need special accommodations at the listening session they should contact Senator Feingold’s Middleton office at 608-828-1200.

His Waukesha County listening session will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Genesee Town Hall, S43 W31391 Highway 83, Town of Genesee. The meeting will last up to an hour.

“I again look forward to meeting with constituents in Waukesha County,” Senator Feingold said. “These listening sessions are an excellent opportunity for me to hear directly from constituents about any issues or concerns they may have, and I appreciate the effort people make to attend these meetings and let their voices be heard. Their ideas and advice continue to enable me to serve the people of Wisconsin to the best of my ability.”

10. Ooohh... he was *DREAMY*

It was interesting and awesome. There were a few RW fanaticals there including one who apparently attends all of his listening sessions. He was kind and considerate to all.

He talked a lot about FISA and campaign finance reform. There were a couple RW's focussed on immigration, a doctor who asked that he focus on healthcare, and of course, me who told Russ that I am a political junkie and he is my Elvis.

And whoisalhedges asked him if he'd accept the VP spot if offered. His reply was cute. He said that the question is a bit of a setup. If he said yes, the press could run with it and say, "Feingold said he wants VP spot, press conference held in Genesee, WI". He said that he's open to doing what Obama would want him to do, but he assured us that Obama would NOT be making that call. Earlier he spoke about how he caught a lot of flack for publically disagreeing with Obama regarding the FISA bill. He said he'd been pretty much asked to shut up... but couldn't.
