New world record for house-cleaning...
I think I set a new world record tonight.

My wife has been at a conference for three days and I've been "bacheloring it" ...

she called around 5 to say she was on her way home (actually a few hours early) so I had to hustle to undo the mess I created over the last three days....it looks okay now....although I'm sure I forgot something.

1. Relax....she will be glad the house is
presentable. She probably expects a mess so she'll be overjoyed to see it isn't.

4. Clean sheets and towels helps a lot, too.
I know I (even as a husband) liked that after coming home from a business trip.

Little did I know, but later found out, that the sheets were getting 'used' while I was gone.

5. Sorry, Ed, but I've got ya beat.
On the time to mess ratio, that is.
I've just cleaned my house for a parsonage inspection, and shovelled out a year's worth of accumulation in 3 days. It ain't done, but at least it was presentable. :)
