Republican Karen Fritz finally Files for Office in Nitro

Republican Karen Fritz finally filed for the office of Recorder in the City of Nitro.

Fritz filed for her office yesterday March 25, 2008 at city hall. Fritz was accompanied by former Nitro Mayor Don Karnes and candidate for First Ward Council Laura Mallet. (it is important to know who is supporting who)

Now, Jerry Waters can stop belly aching over the "ATTACKS" on Karen. She is no longer private citizen. She is now as she has been for quite sometime a public personality as well as candidate for public Or as Jerry Waters says, "SHE IS FAIR GAME" so game on.

I think everyone in Nitro should have access to the mywvhome.com Heavy Hitters Board. I think they need to see just what Karen Fritz really thinks about the residents of Nitro. She has made many statements to the fact that they are stupid, lazy and have done nothing for their community. That until she came along, no one was concerned or willing to address city issues.

This woman really is very, very, very narcisitic she has a serious martyr complex.

Well Karen better get ready because the residents she has been so condescending to will have a chance to question her publicly about her comments. All of her comments from the Heavy Hitters Message Board.

She will finally get a chance to feel, what it feels like to be CRUCIFIED. As many who have been on the receiving end of her evil for the last 3 years.

I think she has to be elected before a complaint can be filed.

However, if you feel like I do that she should be charged for her bad faith complaint against Nitro Police Chief Jack Jordan, then you can contact the Ethics Commission.

There are signed sworn statements that show her complaint was in bad faith. The new City Treasurer John Young signed a statement to the fact she told him that the complaint wasn't going to go anywhere but she was filing it anyway.

The Ethics Commission should find against her. She has abused not only the Ethics Commission but the Kanawha County Court System with her bottom feeding lawyer (former Kanawha County Prosecutor) Mike Clifford.

She is always talking about putting her money where her mouth is -- I say let her foot the bill for her personal vandetta.

She is not a spokesperson for anyone. She supports a candidate and let them use her phone for a contact once because she is home most of the time. Even if she was a spokesperson, she is still a citizen backing a candidate, not a candidate heself and not a legal subject for your ridicule. Do you dirty work at your own risk, she is a very nice, forgiving person, but she will only go to a point before she will react.
I can tell you thatseveral people have tried to get her to file legal actions already, so far she has been too nice to do it. I would not count on that forever.

Well then I do admit that I was mis-informed about her position. Although the newspaper did make it seem that her home phone number was the hotline for him. I have no doubts about her being a nice person either that wasn't what I was stating the first place but I am not going to get into all that AGAIN, because you refuse to see any points but your own.

I don't believe that you have any legal basis for anything. I stated my opinion and the opinion of others that I have contact with. At no time did I state anything as a absolute fact other than what I was told and my opinion on the matter. Which I am entitled to even if it is a private citizen or not.


How is though that I the threads I read back you guys are referring to Mike Clifford as a "scum sucking lawyer"??? Isn't he a private citizen?? He is no longer the prosecuter. He is a private citizen in a private enterprise. I really don't have a real probelm with the lady personally. I thought it was a bad decision that cast her in negative light (you have to admit that negative light could be cast from that article). Isn't Karens Husband a private citizen?
The man was charged and spent two years on probation. I don't think the person who filed the charges thought it was a SO WHAT incident. Funny how you minimize incidents when people are close to you and call them freaks and perverts when they are not.

Besides in order to be slander it must be a falsehood, or is someone complaining about the truth being told? (I ask you the same ?... If these people are public because of the newspaper referencing him then your rules don't apply here.. Especially when she puts her phone number in the newspaper? See above post... You mean you don't use this board to attack people that agree with you. By your own post I wasn't attacking a "private citizen" I was attacking a public person because they are in the newspaper!! Right??? You attack Karen personally (which honestly I could care less about) and justify it because she is "stirring trouble". But she is doing what she believes is right.. So if your friend was doing what she thought was right by going to city hall and asking for whatever she was there asking for... Doesn't that put her in the same position? People at city hall obivously thought she was stirring trouble too right? (if she was or wasn't doesn't matter). That makes her a public figure by your designation. But the law doesn't provide "private citizens" with any more privacy than a former public prosecutor or a local activist.

18. The difference is...

The lady in question went to city hall to ask a question about annexation, that's all she did. That does not make her a public anything. The article in the paper was not her idea, nor was it correct. She and the Mayor have already settled the issue and are friends again, why do you insist on bringing it up when they are both over the incident and have moved on. She rarely ever sees these message boards and is usually appalled by some of the comments here when she does.
As to my posts, I do not post about anyone who is not a public figure. The people you mentioned are all public figures, even Karen. There is a hugh difference between going to city hall and asking a question and being on the TV news every other week. The post you sited also plainly said that the other people posted about WERE private people and that wvwildfire was out of line. As far as someones/anyones husband/wife doing something 30 or 40 years ago, it is not relevent to anything now and should not be being discussed at all. The posts were deleted quickley since some of us alerted the moderators to them.
If you have a problem with my posts, fine. DO NOT attribute anyone elses posts to me. I am not responsible for what wvwildfire says or anyone else says. I am not part of a group, as you put it, I simply post here with others that post here. I frankly do not know who wvwildfire is, nor do I care to. This is a national board for all I know these people live in Africa, I don't know and don't profess to.

As far as the ads on the board, report the host not me. I do not control the ads. The NITRO logo is not copyrighted and is used by the city of Nitro on all of their sites as well. You attack me for what others have done, you attack a nice lady because of what others have done and what you have heard, do you think maybe you have been wrong on both counts. People are NOT responsible for any actions but their own. Would you like me to blame you for everything everyone you ever knew did?

As to the posting of the news articles, people need the truth about candidates for mayor. He is not the best choice IMO. I considered he had misled Karen as well as others that were not around then as to what he had done. You assume too much about my motives. I have thought for a while that Karen might be being used by dirty politicians.
I have a problem with the WAY she does things, not always what she does. There are better, less destructive ways to handle things.

The discussion about Mr Waters was started over a year ago, check the dates. We just like to keep him honest.

Your friends have skeletons, KF, GE, DK and others have family member who have made mistakes as well as their own personal errors.
If you do not want others to point out all of the indescretions from everyone else, you should think seriously about what you are doing. People, by nature, tend to retaliate. They feel they must give back as good as they get.
Since we all have things we are not proud of and things we do not want others to focus on, it is usually not a good idea throw stones at others, most people will throw them right back at cha.
