People in Cantor's District
What is the prognosis for his re-election to the House in 2012? I am praying that someone (dem) will run against him and beat him into the ground! But I am not familiar with the politics of his District.

3. I'd like and answer to that.
(Statistics notwithstanding.) What exactly are the Democrats in that district doing? His election percentages are as follows:

2000 - 67%
2002 - 69%
2004 - 75% (no challengers)
2006 - 64%
2008 - 63%
2010 - 59%

Given a decent Democrat, this guy absolutely can be had. Virginians?

Only started my 2012 election following yesterday and was researching the possible candidates, !
At the moment David Hunsicker is the only one seeking Democratic nomination for 7th district!

8. He took the district with 65% of the vote.
Honestly, living in his district, I think the best way of getting him out is with a Republican primary. good deal of the district is firmly Pub and I'm sure a safer one could be found.

I know we're not supposed to promote Republicans here, (yuck) but this honestly may be the only way to get Cantor out.

9. I've lived in the district for 40 years.
Not very hopeful, I'm sad to say. It's very firmly entrenched GOP. I put an Obama poster in my yard for the last election - I think people were even driving by to take pictures of it - and I got a severe tongue-lashing from one of my neighbors - that's how rare a Dem is in this area.
