I have been writing Kay Bailey and Rep. Hensarling for years and years and getting their boring form letters back, which I pretty much just toss in the trash unopened now because I know that it's not going to do a damn thing to respond to my question and it's just going to reiterate whatever the hell they have already decided to support anyway. So I understand, it does get old writing the Rethugs. Go with your heart! :)

5. I sent Senator Schmuck an e-mail on this

I've probably sent him a total of two dozen Working Assets action letters, ACT e-mail and the like in the last two years, going all the way back to asking him to return Enron money they donated for his TX AG campaign. I delivered petition signatures of Texas veterans against the war in Vietnam to his office here in Houston last year (they closed the office for the afternoon rather than acknowledge us).

I've never heard from the douchebag once. HAVE heard from a member of his staff, who was obviously trained at the Rove/DeLay Institute for Advanced Conservative Prevarication and Disengenuosness.

At least KB has the professional courtesy to send a form letter reply.

I'm not saying it's necessarily a waste of time to send the moran anything; maybe there's some small amount of piss value somewhere in there. If my experience is any indication of how they do things, don't expect much.

You're right, I'm glad that Kay Bailey and the Hensarling critter have the courtesy to at least give me a FORM letter.

May I just say how glad I am that Eddie Bernice is my rep now? (Happy sigh.) I don't even CARE if she doesn't write me back, the mere fact that she stood with John Conyers makes me one happy girl.
