OK..I know I'm naive...when do we find out who the Democrats are running for gov?
I have seen plenty of coverage on possible republican Candidates for Governor and Senator....any word on possible Democratic Candidates?

1. Where are you? Find you county chair and call him/her.
Filing is not over so some candidates may have announced but haven't filed yet.

2. Filing period for 2014 governor's race
will be at the end of the 2013. You're looking ahead (that's not a bad thing).

Filing period is NOW for US Senate, all Congress (House of Reps.) and statehouse. Maps just released for the state positions by the three-judge panel. Your representation may have changed. Congressional maps to come any day now. The redrawn maps favor Dems to a great degree. Perhaps ten seats to win back in the Texas House, Wendy Davis gets her old district back.

Gen. Ricardo Sanchez and Sean Hubbard are Democrats running to replace Kay Bailey. Voting on the Democratic Party's nominee will take place in March 2012.
