In Exclusive Interview with Diane Sawyer, Giffords' Husband Mark Kelly Opens Up About Her Recovery
By BRADLEY BLACKBURN

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords will be moved to a hospital in Houston on Friday, another milestone in her recovery after a gunman fired a bullet through her brain in an attack in Tucson just 11 days ago.

Giffords will be transported to The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research at Houston's Memorial Hermann hospital, a facility that specializes in brain injuries, ABC affiliate KTRK-TV confirmed on Wednesday ...

3. Wow
Great to hear she is recovering so fast and doing so well. Anyway we can give her a special welcome here in Texas? Amazing thing do happen.

Prays for Gabby, the other 19, and all their family to heal. Bless all those that have been donors and recipents of organs. May the memories and pain mean something to all of the public for years to come.

All this anger, and these incidences are starting to really add up. The RWE has gone so far they can't repair their imagine. It is becoming ingrained in people heads how hateful they really are being. Palin/Faux is just fanning the fire.

8. Her husband Mark said it best
He said he didn't feel like she should return to Congress, but added it wasn't going to matter what he thought. It would be her choice.

I also loved how he said that he could never be a public servant the caliber of Gabby since he could not match her passion. Said his job was a lot easier than hers.

From this TV special and his openness, I think Representative Giffords was lucky, she has a strong will to survive and move forward, and she has a great support system to help her get there. Not that getting shot is lucky, I mean that she will survive and hopefully lead the same full life she was leading before the tragedy.

I had no idea these two remarkable people formed this wonderful new family. He lives in Houston and in space, and she lives in Arizona and Congress - and nothing is going to keep them apart. Hell of a story. I know they will be making a movie out of this someday.

I'm sure she will do something special in Congress for the victims in her district. Supposedly she didn't know about her staff members yet or the sweet little Christina Taylor Greene.

9. Yes....
I can certainly understand his worries, but I believe he actually said, perhaps in the Diane Sawyer interview, that she would "positively" be back to her congressional seat.

I am SOO happy and relieved by her rapid recovery -- the doctors are calling it a "miracle"....I know that she's forty years old but she looks young, and sweet to me and so, with all that's happened, I can't help but feel "protective" toward her...I feel, foolishly enough, like telling her to "move and run for congress in another state"...I like Arizona, I've been there four times and it's beautiful, but at this point, with the gun culture and the creepy RW governor, I can't help but feel it's dangerous for her.

My perception about her nature, is, it seems, confirmed by those who know her and work for her...It seems she's beloved...The last I read, she doesn't know about the others killed and injured, and I hope that when she does learn, she's not debilitated by that "survivors guilt"....I think most going through such a situation would experience some of that, but if that does happen, I hope she's able to overcomes it quickly.

Her husband strikes me as a really good guy, too...I loved the picture of him sitting at her hospital bed and holding her hand...They strike me as being a very loving and compatible couple....and yes, I agree that they will make a movie out of this...Thanks for sharing your thoughts.. O8)

Finally, some Texas news that makes me smile.

Hope everyone is doing well, and hang in there- it's going to be a bumpy ride for us all since Slick Rick is back in the saddle, AGAIN.

Going to be very scary session.
