Westboro seems to be something libs and cons can join forces on, since they are all over crazy. So hopefully some big beefy Texans will show up to block them from the funeral.

are they operating in groups? I looked at this group's wall & there are several funerals set for that day :cry: in different states at or about the same time. Are the crazies going to be at all of them?

I don't know how networked the loonies are. I just found out about the FB group for the counter-protesters because I saw someone share it regarding Elizabeth Edwards' funeral. It seems like (from what I have read) with the exception of very high profile funerals, the freaks can't seem to get many people to show up. But if even one shows up, I would hope to see counter-protesters drowning them out.

No one should have to see that at the funeral of a loved one.

U.S. Marine Pfc. Colton Rusk comes home for the final time
COASTAL BEND — A lone maintenance man stood at attention with a single tear rolling down his face, as perfect strangers welcomed a U.S. Marine home for the last time.

Six, white gloved Marine hands moved in torturous slow motion, saluting Pfc. Colton Rusk’s flag-draped casket as it was lowered to the tarmac at Corpus Christi International Airport.

Rusk, 20, has been dead since Dec. 5, after falling in a hail of Taliban bullets in one of the worst pieces of war-torn landscape in Afghanistan.

Rusk’s lifelong friend Stuart Brown, a fellow Marine, stood at attention, after escorting Rusk’s body home from Delaware, where it first arrived from the Middle East.

May Colton Rusk, rest in peace. Condolences to his family.
