Anybody know of any organizations that provide transportation to Doc Appoitments?
I moved back to Austin with my mom since she is going through several medical dramas . She is receiving SSI for Disability and Medicaid and cannot drive due to several factors. She has several doctors that she sees on a regular basis one as far away as Bastrop. I currently have a semi flexible job so I take her to her appointments since my brother and sister have crazy full schedules at Saint Edwards. I would like to enroll in ACC but am worried about how my mom would get to her appointments. I have thought about taking online courses but that did not really work out for me as I am easily distracted. Does anyone know of any organizations that provide transportation to doctor's appointments? Or does anyone know where I should start asking?
Thank you

2. Call Medicaid
because they contract with several, and have to provide the info. (Part of the lawsuit they lost.)

3. In Dallas, the DART handi-ride will take seniors and handicapped to their appointments
Check out the Austin public transit site, they might have a similar thing.

5. I think this is what we are going to go with
Thank you for posting. I probably could have found that myself but was feeling pretty overwhelmed.
