Anyone need a new best friend, or have room to foster?
The husband of our most devoted, long-term volunteer and foster mom has passed away very unexpectedly. She is having to move in with relatives and is heartbroken that she cannot keep Annabeth. Please help us find a good home for her.

ANNABETH

*LAB/BORDER COLLIE MIX *FEMALE *DOB 03/24/2007

My world has been shattered.

My human Dad has gone to heaven. They say I can’t go with him this time. He called me his “Big Bertha” and scratched behind my ears, and swam with me, and laughed and shook his head as I jumped the deck railing instead of walking through the open gate.

My human Mom has a broken heart and can barely care for herself. She is losing her home too but will be ok with loved ones where she will be staying for a while. But she cries more every time she thinks of me being homeless and alone and is so sad that she cannot take me with her. I’m boarding now, but really need a loving foster until I can find a new family.

Please help me find a new home.

I’m totally housebroken and crate-trained and the sweetest doggy-soul in the world. I’m just gonna level with you and trust you to spread the word about me. I’ll be a perfect fit for SOMEONE. Everyone knows that Labs are just big ol’ puppies for the first few years. I’m high energy, very curious, play well with most dogs, extremely loving and just totally entertaining. I have issues with kitties (don’t want to hurt them, but I need some work so I don’t play too rough). I go 90mph until I drop from exhaustion. I’m so goofy you’ll laugh until your sides hurt. I LOVE to jog, swim, and climb trees chasing squirrels--if the limbs are low. I haven’t mastered shinnying up, yet. I love to run and play fetch and chase with the kids. I might be a little much for a toddler, but give me a rowdy 6-year-old and I’ll wear him down by naptime. I have real “BFF POTENTIAL” here.

So come see me. Spend some time with me. Foster me. Tell your friends about me. (I think y’all call this networking.) I’m more than just “another black and white stray dog.” Give me a chance to show you.

Annabeth is:
· Current on routine shots & tests
· On Heartworm Preventative
· Spayed/Neutered/Microchipped

7. I know most adoptions work that way
And my one friend who was looking for a new companion just adopted a German Shepard from the German Shepard Rescue group here in Austin. Just this past weekend. She's a cutie too.

I love dogs and it really gets me. If it were up to me I would have a large ranch and a pack of dogs.

:hi:

loves! I'd love her, but I don't think the husband would. I sent him the link. Fingers crossed?!
And what does fostering entail? No cats or dogs here...

4. Fostering means....
You provide the home and love, and we provide the food and any necessary vet care. You would agree to bring the dog to our adoption events and work with us if needed for potential adopters to meet her at other times if needed (working with your schedule of course). For dog fosters, homes must have a fenced yard.

If we ever win the Lottery, we'll open up a doggie ranch.

8. We are in the market for a dog about that age, but
we do need a pretty quiet one, as we have an older dog (and also a younger one, which is why we're looking for a third dog) and a cat.

Will pass the word.
