I'm curious to get your impressions of it. It sounds great!

1. It's OK.
Rather a small park to be called the "crown jewel" of a 4M+ city, IMHO.....!

I hear the underground garage is leaking, don't know yet if it's serious or not. (Apparently they all leak to one extent or another.)

It sure beats having another ugly surface parking lot there, although they are still all around it.

2. What about its features?
I've only read descriptions and it does sound pretty cool. The water features, playground,
dog park, treehouse, etc. Sounds like a very user-friendly place at any rate.

3. The playground surface is way cool
It's a solid surface, but springy. It was fun for this adult just to walk on it. Also had a pretty neat climbing/playhouse thingie.

Two restaurants, one inexpensive, one not. Nice-looking bar overlooking the pond. Had a second story where, presumably, you could see the skyline. (Didn't go in anything as I was there about 9AM.)

You can rent remote-controlled boats for the pond. IIRC, the days/times you could rent them were rather limited - info on website, probably. I think they had kites for sale, as well.

Stage with a hill in front for the audience.

Parking rates in the garage exorbitant - I think I paid 8 or 10 dollars for a couple of hours.

Hilton Americas just across the street. Nice coffee shop - food, service, decor excellent. Extremely expensive - breakfast for one, including tip, over $20.

Lots and lots of kids playing in the fountain.

Area to play some kind of lawn game. Said lawn looked kinda ratty already.

4. Thanks for the details!
I've been pondering going to the museum and wondered if I should try to take in the new park
as well. Kids do love those water features!

5. If you're taking kids, I definitely would
the ones I saw there seemed to love it.
