7. Yes! Only 300 more to go (and that's just the House)
An indictment should go to the 99 senators who gave Bush (of all people) authority to go to war, invade, illegally, a sovereign nation.
Hey, i will take what we have now and celebrate.

DeLay indicted on conspiracy charges
House majority leader's position in jeopardy.

A Travis County grand jury today indicted U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay on one count of criminal conspiracy, jeopardizing the Sugar Land Republican's leadership role as the second most powerful Texan in Washington, D.C.

The charge, a state jail felony punishable by up to two years incarceration, stems from his role with his political committee, Texans for a Republican Majority, a now-defunct organization that already had been indicted on charges of illegally using corporate money during the 2002 legislative elections.

The grand jury, however, took no action against Texas House Speaker Tom Craddick, Texas Association of Business President Bill Hammond or state Reps. Dianne Delisi and Beverly Woolley, both of whom sit on the political committee's board, for their roles in the election.

Dreams do come true! At least on DeLay, Craddick should have been indicted right along with him.

.pdf link to the indictment is there.

Also, typical Juanita Jean, like this:

"In fact, the joke in Austin is that men usually don't have as many lawyers as Tom currently does unless they've killed their wives, have some strange guy living in their pool house, and plan on making a break for it in a Bronco. Honey, he's a one-man full employment act for trial lawyers."

37. Been hangin' out at Juanita's
and swapping emails with her this afternoon. (She's really friendly y'all write her sometime!)

Everyone remember that DeLay is innocent until proven guilty. So let's all close our eyes, clap our hands and say out loud, 'I Believe in Ronnie Earle! I Believe in Ronnie Earle!'

An indictment is just an accusation, so let's all hope for a conviction.

23. Is it time for Nick Lampson to make a statement?
Hey he needs to strike now. Get the message out about DeLay not serving the district or Congress. He's only been helping himself and his cronies.

Go get him Nick!
http://www.lampson.com /

And another thing I learned recently, one of DeLay's other criminal pals (associates) John Colyandro, is working for the group working to pass Prop 2 - the hate amendment. That needs to be seriously investigated as well. Whatever these crooks did with TRMPAC they're doing now supporting the hate amendment.

I'm sure these flyers are coming from this group. And these flyers are illegal since they do not have any identification. Sounds like a DeLay/Rove tactic

The Flyer

...flyers that have been finding their ways onto parking lots full of cars around Austin.

September 28, 2005

The Travis County District Attorneys Office today issued the following statement:

The Travis County Grand Jury today returned an indictment charging Tom DeLay with conspiracy to violate the Texas Election Code.

The indictment names John Colyandro and James Ellis as co-conspirators. Colyandro and Ellis have previously been indicted for both conspiracy to violate the Election Code and money laundering.

The indictment charges DeLay with conspiring with Ellis and Colyandro to violate the Texas Election Code by contributing corporate money to certain candidates for the Texas Legislature. It describes a scheme whereby corporate, or soft money, was sent to the Republican National Committee where it was exchanged for "hard" money, or money raised from individuals, and sent to those candidates.

Criminal conspiracy is a State Jail Felony punishable by six months to two years in a State Jail and a fine of up to $10,000.

Criminal conspiracy, indicted, money laundering, state jail felony punishable by six months to two years in a state jail. Those are beautiful words. Brings tears to my eyes.

32. Hi MelissaG!
I am having so much fun today, it's not even funny. Could this be the first cornerstone of the corrupt DeLay house of cards seriously crumbling? Will the MSM actually do their job? There's plenty more dirt where this came from. DeLay's thugs are involved in Mafia type activities with money laundering, stealing and possibly gang land hits.
We need a crime family name for them - DeLay/Abramoff Crime Family.

Abramoff is at the center of a federal investigation into lobbying for Indian tribes and influence-peddling in Washington. Abramoff used contacts with GOP Reps. Tom DeLay (Tex.) and Robert W. Ney (Ohio) and their staffs as he worked to land the SunCruz deal, interviews and court records show.

I'm sure there are some repukes considering it even now.

Nick Lampson lost his seat thanks to DeLay, so it's only fitting that he should kick him out. Richard Morrison graciously bowed out of the race. I loved Morrison, but I'm behind Nick now since he's our candidate.

The Truth About Ronnie Earle

Earle is just doing his job. DeLay is playing the rove defense, make your weakness your opponent's. DeLay is the fanatical partisan hack with an ax to grind on Texas Democrats. DeLay's life is totally baseless.

Grand juror: 'Ronnie Earle didn't indict him'
The grand jury's foreman, William Gibson, told The Associated Press that Earle didn't pressure members one way or the other. "Ronnie Earle didn't indict him. The grand jury indicted him," Gibson told The Associated Press in an interview at his home.
