First day to file an application for the office of precinct chair.

"Candidate Filing begins"
First day to file an application for a place on the primary ballot for an office other than precinct chair.

Monday, January 2, 2006
"Candidate & Precinct Chair Filing ends"
Last day to file an application for a place on the primary ballot.

Tuesday, March 7, 2006
"Primary Election Day"
Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Thursday - Saturday, June 8 - 10, 2006
"2006 Texas Democratic Convention"
The 2006 State Convention will be held June 8, 9 and 10th in Fort Worth, TX.
