The Minutemen are Coming to Houston

Border watchers coming to city
They'll target HPD's hands-off policy on illegal immigrants and day-labor sites

The Minutemen are coming to Houston.

Leaders of the controversial group dedicated to stopping the flow of illegal immigration said they will patrol the streets of the Bayou City beginning in October, as part of a campaign that will extend north from the Mexican border. Houston volunteers will gather near day labor centers and corners where immigrant workers solicit work, in an effort to draw critical attention to the city's hands-off policy toward illegal immigrants.

"We will be videotaping the (day laborers) and we will be videotaping the contractors who pick them up," said Bill Parmley, a Goliad County landowner who heads the Texas chapter of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. The Minutemen will only observe to draw attention to the problem and will not attempt to make arrests, he said.

sounds like a good way to start a street brawl, which is probably what they have in mind anyway...

2. I heard the ACLU will be out watching THEM watch the laborers...
I haven't found any specifics on it. I emailed them to see if there is any organized activity going on. I'd like to keep an eye on those creeps myself!

3. Will they note the license plates of white people who pick them up
for work? Maybe those lard butts should be doing the day labor.

5. The article did say they'd be videotaping the contractors too!
I don't think they should do that either though. The laborers are just looking to make money to support their families. To me, this is the equivalent of taking food out of a person's mouth.

4. Let them come to Houston. Once the Mexicans point a gun at them
they will crap in their pants and go home.

6. I don't know about that...
I don't think the laborers and the gang bangers hang out inthe same area!LOL! I've been with my ex-h topick up workers before, and those guys seriously just want a day's work.

I heard a blurb on the radio about this (CNN radio news) and the ACLU rep said she thought they'd be surprised at the negative welcome Houston gives them, since Houston values its diversity.

7. The refreshing sound of futility....
We all know that none of the two major parties have the balls to truly combat the problem of illegal immigration. Maybe if the Democrats took hold of this issue with a tough, no nonsense solution (standing up to the cabals of cheap labor and La Raza/LULAC) they would win some statewide elections in the Lonestar state.

8. Maybe if we helped the minutemen
by donating more video games to them, a wardrobe of wife beater shirts, and some tabaccie, they would do something more productive with their time.

The cheap labor is needed by the homebuilding industry. And they own our Governor and Texas at this point.
