| Nader Fails to Make the Ballot In Texas |
|
The Political Week in Review from the TDC (via e-mail)
"Your Efforts Pay off as Nader Fails to Make the Ballot In Texas Last week we urged all of you to do whatever you could to keep 2000 spoiler and anti-Democratic activist Ralph Nader off the ballot here in Texas and we are proud to report that you succeeded! Nader came up more than 10,000 signatures short of the required 64,000+ and has filed suit against the state in order to contest what he calls “unconstitutional” ballot standards. With such immature behavior, it becomes clear that a vote for Ralph Nader is still a vote for Bush, now more than ever."
I am not so sure this is that great for democracy but if bush gets in again, we won't need to worry about that anyway.

| 3. This DOESN'T help Kerry! |
|
Kerry and the Dems didn't have any chance to win Texas.
All this means is that Nader can concentrate more time and money in battleground states that Kerry might have a chance of winning.
Nader's Reform Party is a bunch of right-wing whackos and weirdos. Many potential Kerry voters may not understand that.
