Corker/Porker is doing push polling in East TN
Just got off the phone with a very nice gentleman from Tarrance Group Polling.

He asked very innocuous questions at first. Was I likely to vote in TN? Am I a Democrat (not Democratic, should have caught the push there) or Republican? Was I registered to vote? What was my age?

Then he went on to say that if I knew Ford, Jr. had voted against Intelligence funding three time prior to Sept 11th would I still vote for Ford. I said yes because I believed it was out of context and even if bush had all the money in the world he still wouldn't have stopped bin Laden.

There were other misleading questions like despite the fact that the Patriot Act has kept me safe since 9/11, Ford had voted against it. I told the guy that I hated the Patriot Act and was glad that Ford voted against it.

He mentioned that Ford voted to increase our gas tax and did I still support Ford? I said gas was down anyway that it didn't matter.

But the poll really trashed Ford, Jr. and it is an indication of how desperate Corker/Porker is getting.

I told the gentleman that his poll was a push poll and some of the remarks were down and out lies. He apologized and said he knew it was a push poll but was surprised when I told him I was still more likely to vote for Ford.

Have other folks been getting push polls from Tarrance Group stating that Ford Jr is weak on security?

1. I thought that push polling is a big no-no, am I wrong?
I'll try to find something about this but I thought it was illegal to do push polling.
