500 Protestors From Across the State Converge at Capitol

If you didn't attend the Save TennCare demonstration in Nashville last Friday, you missed an amazing event. The Black Churches are pissed at Bredesen. The "Democratic" Governor is not only alienating his base, he's killing it off.

There's more here:

2. So, we get GOP Fascist Hilleary next time?
For heaven's sake! Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. Damage Bredesen so that we get a Republican governor in the 2006 elections? That will help TennCare? Not!

Bredesen is trying to deal with a budget crisis. There is no money to continue TennCare as it used to be. That's the fact! Therefore the alternatives are to cut costs or raise taxes. Unpleasant, but they are the facts.

People will definitely be hurt and it breaks my heart, but what else can be done? You can't have low taxes and high government benefits. Why aren't the protestors focusing on what it will take to afford the benefits?

I'm disgusted with Tennessee Democrats who somehow expect Bredesen to create money out of thin air. Get over it!

The anti-taxers won the battle and there is no more money!

Bredesen can't save TENNCARE without the money and the idiot GOPERS lie and distort the truth about a state income tax and scare the poor working class in to tooting their horns and driving around the capital like idiots, when in reality a state income tax would benefit the poor. Sales tax is the most regressive tax. The LAST thing we need in TN is another republican ANYTHING!!!

4. People will definitely die and plenty can be done

If you do some research, even the minimal amount involved in checking out the links in the story, you might see another side to the story other than Bredesen's version which you have echoed very well.

If you think our only choices are a man who spent his life making profits off of sick people and incompetent Hillary, well, you may be part of the problem.
