WPTT 1360AM Pittsburgh picks up F'in Neil Boortz to replace O' Reilly
Pittsburgh DU'ers I'm steamed this morning. We already have two wingnut stations in this city. Only relief is those 3 hours a day of Lynn Cullen and a little bone thrown out by KDKA in off hours with Mike Romigh and Chris Moore.

I swear I'm ready to boycott any national or local advertiser who advertises on WPTT 1-3PM if I only had the stomach to listen to this shit to take names!

This is what this freak said of Kerry supporters.

BOORTZ: Frankly I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out who is a greater threat to this country and I -- I don't -- I don't ask this question or make this statement for the purpose of saying something outlandish that you will repeat at lunch or dinner today. It's not why I'm doing this. But there's two different groups of people out there that present a threat to this country. Well there's many different groups. But I'm just singling out two different groups of people right now that present a threat to this country, and frankly I just cannot tell you which one presents the greater threat. One group of people: Osama bin Laden and his Islamic terrorists. The Islamic jihadists. The other group of people: those of you who would vote for John Kerry. And both groups present a threat to our safety and a threat to our future. A threat to our freedoms and a threat to our economic liberty.

And again I'm not saying this for effect. I mean this. I can not make up my mind which group is most dangerous. I can't. Because those of you, out there, who would vote for John Kerry for president of the United States, I have -- I deeply, deeply, feel that you present a danger to this country. To our freedoms. To our very safety. And to our future. Just as the Islamic terrorists do. And I hope you know what in the hell you're doing, but frankly I doubt it very, very seriously.

1. many years ago
I uused to sell dictaion equipment and i once called on Boortz. He was a two bit lawyer. He has held 2 jobs in his life a talk show nutcase and a lawyer. Neither qualifies him to comment on people.

2. Actually, he's right.
I voted for Kerry and I have a small arms cache of sbout 600,000 rounds of ammunition and 45 tons of high explosives in the glove box of my Yugo.

Spreading Christian values by comparing half the country with terrorists - what a great mission statement from Boortz and the station.

3. Here's reply I got from Programming Manager John Poister

Thanks for your message. We are still in discussions with John McIntire John's a local liberal who had a great local cable show called Nighttalk till they fired him for financial reasons for a role at the radio station. Right now our problem is more financial. We are a small station compared to other stations in this market owned by giant companies like Clear Channel and Viacom. While we would like to expand our local programming we can only do it if advertisers will support it.

We seriously looked at Air America-- but we would have had to sacrfice nearly all our local programs(something that would have put 6 people out of jobs). Air America requires stations to carry all its programming ( with the exception of morning drive time). We looked at the few other liberal talk shows and frankly there wasn't anything good.

The decision to carry Boortz was made by the management of this station on the basis that he had built up a large audience on another Pittsburgh station. It was an economic decision.
I understand that this decision was disappointing to you and many other listeners. But now at least you know what was going on here.
Again, thanks for your message.

So all we get here is a shuffling of conservatives from station to station.
