Toomey would consider tea party caucus
Pennsylvania Republican Sen.-elect Pat Toomey said on Sunday he'd consider joining the tea party caucus in the new Congress.

Asked on CNN's "State of the Union" whether he'd caucus with the tea party, Toomey said "I'd consider that. I'd want to hear what that would be all about."

He said that he believes that the tea party can play a "constructive role" in keeping Republicans accountable for the promises they made this election.

"In my experience these are ordinary Americans, mostly working-class and middle-class Americans who love this country and are worried about the future," Toomey said. "I welcome their support and I think they can play a constructive role.

1. And the horses they rode in on.
I'm sure Senator Club-For-Growth is all about serving the needs of "working and middle class Americans."

I'm still heartbroken over this race, but I'm certain that the ordinary Americans that Toomey hearts so much will get exactly what they deserve as will the a$$hats in Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin. God help all of us.

6. Richard Mellon Scaife, is that you?

I hate to break it to you, but Pat Toomey is the one who associates with Communists. After all, the Chinese made a lot of major contributions to his campaign (through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce).

If you want to think that he's genuine "Tea Party", go right on ahead. You will soon find out that Toomey
(yes, that's Toomey with an "e") is nothing but "Corporate".

"Toomy better than Sestak". Only in the case that he's a very good liar and was able to dupe the sheeple in PA into thinking he was a moderate (when in fact, he's a freaking nutcase).

BTW, did you ever read about the time Pat Toomey spend in Hong Kong? It's quite interesting. You seem like such a bright sort; I thought maybe you'd like to know what the real facts are before coming on DU and spewing hate. Check it out:

7. Dick had to run off to withdraw money from his trust fund.
Running a bunch of crappy newspapers is not a money-making proposition.

8. Newspaper...yeah, I wouldn't use that rag to line the cat's litter box!

Poor kitty might get an infection from all the vile poison that's printed everyday!

I wonder what it's like being able to waste millions and millions of dollars on the western Pennsylvania equivalent of Pravda...The Tribune Review (Pittsburgh and Greensburg) and all other area newspapers that he owns:

Daily Courier--Connellsville
Leader Times--Kittanning
Daily News--McKeesport
Valley Independent--Monesson
Valley News Dispatch--Tarentum

There are more newspapers that he owns in the area...all the small-town weekly papers, too.

Then again, I don't want to know what it feels like...that would mean I'd just be another mean and bitter alcoholic like Scaife is.

2. Of course he will.
It's quite interesting that during the campaign Toomey ran ads that showed him in a rather "moderate" light.

Shame on Pennsylvanians for not researching this extremist wing-nut. \

Sestak lost by 77,000 votes out of 4 million. It breaks my heart. I hope he will consider running again.

3. This race was sad, this man doesn't care at all about the middle class or the poor.
I agree with your comment!

4. We should be happy that the rich buy stuff
that benefits us via their trickle down. The luxuries they buy puts regular people to work. That's the philosophy many of these stupid cons have. They think it is fine that a few rich have all the money that they could ever spend and that we should be elated when they spend it and bribe our elected officials. Can you believe that average people are stupid enough to believe that the rich should have it all to spend, and pay little in taxes?
