Ohio blowup gets bigger
From http://www.nomorefakenews.com /

NOVEMBER 10, 2004. It appears that Ohio county commissioners and various other state election officials and Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell are huddling and trying to figure out what to do about irregularities (fraud) in the November 2 election.

Here is an excerpt from a message I received on this:

“WDBZ, 1230 AM here in Cincinnati today…This is an "urban"
talk radio station. One of the callers said he had attended a meeting of the
Hamilton County Commissioners yesterday, and he learned that a conference call
had been held between county commissioners, election officials from across the
state and Ken Blackwell. One of the items of discussion was that 93,000 extra
votes had been cast (a total which well exceeded the number of voters)in Mahoney
County. Cuyahoga County experienced the same
phenomenon. I don't know if the caller got his counties confused or if there
are 2 counties that had 93,000 questionable votes counted.

Anyway, I did want to inform you that it appears that the county commissioners
and election officials are following up on these reports here in Ohio. The
county commissioner whom the caller spoke with is Todd Portune- --he is the only
Democrat on the 3-man Hamilton County Commission board. His telephone number is
513-946-4401 in case your staff would like to follow up with his office to see
exactly what is going on.”

End of excerpt

My sense is that these honchos are trying to figure out how to suppress the facts. The more pressure exerted from all points---especially from residents of Ohio---the harder it will be to sweep all this slimy stuff under the rug.

I know, it’s a long shot. But if the pressure expands and continues…who knows what further truth may leak out.

7. South of the Ohio River ...
he'd be called 'uppity,' right?

He's a self-hating sellout. He started out as a Dem in Cincinnati politics about thirty years ago. I wouldn't care what color his skin was, he'd still be a turncoat in my mind for that, if nothing else!

6. Interesting timing
I just spoke with my State Senator on the 9th, and he said he would "talk to Ken right away" about my concerns...personal friends, you know. I don't hold out much hope there....

I called him about this story, which certainly is an indication of big smoke in my county.

Board awaits state followup
By ERIN MILLER
WAPAKONETA -- Auglaize County Board of Election members say they have not heard any more from the state regarding a possible investigation after receiving notice of being placed on administrative oversight last week.

***
James Lee, spokesperson for the secretary of state's office, said last week the specific conditions of the administrative oversight and reasons for the oversight were available after Tuesday's election. Lee said Wednesday afternoon the Secretary of State's office was focusing its efforts on assisting county elections boards with processing and counting provision ballots.

"These other issues will be addressed in the coming weeks," Lee said.

In a letter dated Oct. 21, Ken Nuss, former deputy director of the Auglaize County Board of Elections, claimed that Joe McGinnis, a former employee of Election Systems and Software (ES&S), the company that provides the voting system in Auglaize County, was on the main computer that is used to create the ballot and compile election results, which would go against election protocol. Nuss claimed in the letter that McGinnis was allowed to use the computer the weekend of Oct. 16.

can we say coverup?

Also, discovered that in Van Wert County, they are sitting on the specific precinct counts until the official announcement at "1 pm on November 18" To the minute? Also that they switched a machine from one precinct to another. And in Shelby county, which has not gone Dem since FDR - the Repug chair said right before the election that "it would be close" but would go for w -- it sure did, by something like 78-79% (higher than 2000) and despite the fact that the county was covered in K/E signs. (collecting all these in a list, but will find the individual links for these if people want to check out)

Lots of tidbits to be gotten by searching little papers's websites for "election" and reading anything that comes up -- editorials are good, too, cause they bitch about what went wrong. (This isn't like web-support, where articles are more probative -- the editors can be called to verify)

8. Wrong..old news
This is very old news and its wrong.. State wide they had 93,000 undervotes.. votes that had to pres selected or both. Do not get these confused. If there is a recount they will be put back into the machine and spit out again.
