Anybody been contacted for poll monitoring?
In September, I received an e-mail from someone locally looking for poll monitors on Election Day. I sent an e-mail to the Kerry camp (as I was told to do) but have yet heard nothing from anyone.

Does anyone know when they will be mapping strategy on this? According to this AM's Dayton Daily News, monitoring is going to be a very big deal in some precincts, especially those with a high number of newly registered voters.

Just wondering.

3. Your local office should be planning for monitors
Have they had a GOTV meeting yet? That's one of the things on the agenda.

4. Don't think so.

I'm probably going to have to call them.

The e-mail sounded urgent, which is why I responded to it. Don't know what's been going on since.

6. I got the Election Protection link
in the e-mail that had the address of a MontCo party official. I tried searching my mail for it, but it must have gotten deleted. I guess I'm going to have to try calling around on Monday.

10. I could swear I volunteered through this site only to find
they didn't really need folks in Montgomery Co./Dayton area.

Am I confused?

Anyway, I went ahead and volunteered at our local Dem HQ and haven't heard a word from them.

I'm ready when they are!

I know I sent HQ an e-mail and they e-mailed me back.

They'd better get cracking on this.

I'll let you know what I find out.

8. Hamilton County
The Kerry Campaign is currently recruiting Poll Managers for all polling locations in the county. Poll Managers are responsible for recruiting poll monitors (who also hand out sample ballots) and for recruiting other campaign volunteers to work GOTV throughout the day. Contact the local headquarters.
