Attn Auglaize County Voters!
I went to double-check my re-registration today (17 days and no validation card) and discovered that the BOE had MOVED - the former office had nothing but a "For Rent" sign. I went to the courthouse and double-checked the phone directory (I had visited the website b4 going) - still listed the same address. Finally, I went across the street to the Engineer's Office and asked - she referred me to the "new" Administration Building - by then it was 1 pm, the closing time they had listed on the site, but she said that they might have changed their hours, so it would be worth checking.

Found the Admin Building a & BOE - they had changed their hours - they shortened them. I found a woman who worked in the building and put on my best, "just gawking at the new digs" face and asked her how long they had been in this lovely facility. Her answer, "Well, we were the last office to move in, and we moved here last November."

BEFORE last November and they haven't updated their frigging website?! And our phone directories were just reissued in AUGUST - I would think 8 months or so would be enough to let the damned directory people know!

OK, enough ranting, although I'm still peeved....
Here's the new address: 209 South Blackhoof, 2nd Floor, Wapak
Hours: M,T,Th,F 8 am to 3pm and W 8 am to noon. I haven't called them, but I would hope the phone number is still the same, but that wouldn't be based on any evidence of their ability to get their shit together.

(I'm pretty certain someone else had the same prob, there was a voter registration form slid under the door - on proper 80 lb weight paper...)

1. Did you put a note on the door of the old place?
and turn in the voter registration form? Just curious.

2. No supplies to do so
I'm going back tomorrow, though, so I'll take paper and tape and put up a sign.

I didn't have a form, I was just going to make sure my other form went thru, and if not, fill out a new one, just in case. With everything going on in Ohio I wasn't really comfortable leaving it to a phone conversation. Did that in the Gov election, followed their instructions to the letter, provisional ballot for address change, correct precinct, but never got the confirmation card - so I believe my vote for Hagan got tossed - probably because I couldn't resist saying "as long as it gets counted" when they were completely befuddled on the provisional ballot deal.

I hope whoever's form was on the floor inside gets properly dealt with - I imagine it was another Dem concerned about registration probs.
