ELECT a NURSE for a CHANGE.


The 2008 election could be one of the most important in our nation’s history. While much of the focus will be on the presidential race, you, the voter, will also be asked to decide who will represent you at the Statehouse in Columbus. The decision is one of great importance given the serious issues we face both nationally and as a state.



A Different Kind of Leadership.

My candidacy for the Ohio House of Representatives, 2nd District is about bringing a different kind of leadership to the Statehouse. I am not a career politician, and I do not pretend to have all the solutions to the challenges we face. But I believe I can make a difference in HOW decisions are made.



My experiences as a registered nurse prepared me:

To make critical decisions responsibly and respectfully;
To tackle what is really important rather than focusing on the trivial;
To advocate effectively when people cannot advocate for themselves;
To ask rather than presume.


My leadership style and skills have been forged through my real life experiences as a wife, mother, and grandmother. I know how real people are affected when elected officials lose sight of real world challenges. I believe common sense should prevail over partisan rhetoric, and that no one’s ideas should be excluded from the policy-making process.



Focus on what is important.

My candidacy will focus on issues important to the citizens of Delaware County and the State of Ohio, not the least of which is how to assure access to affordable quality health care for all. Once elected I will be the only registered nurse in the Ohio House of Representatives at a time when expertise such as mine will be essential to the development of creative, effective solutions to the growing health care problem.



Regardless of your party affiliation, I will provide the responsive, responsible representation needed to find the means to revitalize Ohio’s economy, effectively educate our children, and support hard working families at a time when everything is played out on a world stage.
