Go, Eric, Go. With Tom Sawyer back in the legislature, you may have a chance to actually get something done for all of education in all of Ohio.

3 cheers.

I am liking Mr. Strickland's decision-making process more every single day.

Hurrah.

1. Strickland is walking the walk
If anyone can come up with a solution to the education fiasco in Ohio, Eric can. The big thing will be convincing the legislature. They will do everything they can to stop progress.

2. Strickland's appointment at PUCO is fantastic
He could have picked anybody, but he picked a previous Ohio Consumer's Council consumer advocate.

Consumer advocates praise PUCO appointment

By John McCarthy
Associated Press
COLUMBUS - A lawyer who has worked on behalf of both utilities and their consumers was appointed to the state's major regulatory board for electric, natural gas and telephone companies, Gov. Ted Strickland announced Friday.

Paul Centolella, of Worthington, will replace Judy Jones on the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. Jones, a commissioner since 1997, did not seek reappointment to the five-member board.

Consumer advocates hailed Centolella's appointment, saying his choice is a win for residential utility customers.

Centolella has been a senior economist at Science Applications International Corp. since 1992. He worked on such issues as energy and environmental analysis and modernizing the nation's electrical grid structure. Failure along the grid was a key component of a 2003 blackout that cut power to millions of people in the Northeast.

5. I voted for ted
but was ambivalent on how much I liked him. But by now, I can happily say that I'm pleased.
