having him vacate his house seat to run for governor.

OTOH, his district was gerrymandered to turn it R. There were Dems who helped negotiate that move, along with the one that eliminated Tom Sawyer's seat.

Those same Dems (who also support Repubs who run for state senate and rep seats) are now in charge of you-know-what.

4. "shorthand"
I agree. Shorthand does not facilitate discussion. I have no idea what is implied here either.

3. Tom Sawyer
Sawyer should run for something. He is a decent man and an astute policy maker.

5. Tom Sawyer
I would appreciate if someone would do me the favor of telling me how to contact Tom Sawyer. I did a web search a couple of weeks ago when he was being trashed by Labor, but was unsuccessful. Thanks.

7. Cook Report
http://www.cookpolitical.com/races/report_pdfs/2006_sen_ratings_dec2.pdf
From a Kos poster:

It is hard to take this too seriously when Cook refuses to call even the PA race as leans Dem with Casey holding a 20 point lead.

Now, maybe he is saying it is too far out to tell, but if so, then why release this in the first place?
