Why the @#$@# can't we have progressive radio in NEOhio?!?
All I can get is the Akron stations. The alleged Air America station out of Akron is a fucking sports station that drops Air America for every sporting event within 100 miles! I'm tired of not being able to listen because they are playing junior high school football coverage. And the other station I can get well is 100.1, and I don't want to hear dry-drunk callers praising Our Leader and cursing the Constitution.
For God's sake, Cleveland is a major metropolitan area! This area is heavily labor thanks to the steel mills! Why can't we get an alternative to this crap?

2. OK then, so why can't there be a station in Akron that
broadcasts to the NEO area. I don't live in the lake.
Do you pick it up in other parts of Cleveland? How far out of Cleveland can you go and still pick it up? See, I don't live in Cleveland, and I'm stuck with substandard crap, even though I'm only 40 miles away. I've never lived in a place where radio stations don't carry more than a few miles. I'm used to picking up AM stations for over 100 miles. So it really doesn't do me a whole lot of good that the nearest reliable progressive station is on the other side of the state. Rush Limbaugh gets to broadcast his evil bile on 600 stations-why can't we have ONE in this area?

3. I found 1530 near Mansfield while driving back from Columbus last month
I got tired of the five stations of Lynyrd Zeppelin so I went seeking on AM. I found that station by chance and tuned it in most of the way back to Cleveland. It faded in one place so I found another station doing pension financing that was more interesting. It actually comes in better away from the lake plain. You ought to be able to find it near Alliance.

You can wrap some copper wire around your tabletop radio to improve gain & reception. If you have a component system, hook the longest wire you can get to the AM terminal. I am sure you will get 1530 then. If you run the wire outside, disconnect it when you are not listening so lightning does not fry your radio. Happy listening.

I love the Bill Press show from 6-9am. I am never around for Al Franken in the afternoon. Big Ed Schultz is pretty good in the early evening--he has good guests. Stephanie Miller is kind of a waste.
