7:30pm

Here's a link to the NCDP website that links to the county party websites that will have info on where your precinct convention is being held.
http://ncdp.org/node/2130

If you want to be a delegate to your county convention and the State convention, you start at your precinct convention tonight.

3. Hmmmmmmmmm
Of course, I hadn't suffered from a tendency to hold my tongue before DU, and DU really isn't improving my ability to refrain from expressing an opinion: this is why I will never ever be elected to any public office

I went to the precinct meeting, and I tried to be friendly and helpful. But I think I will spend my available time working for particular campaigns or helping GOTV in other precincts

7. You know...
...there is nothing wrong with expressing your opinion.

After 2004, I figured it's probably more valuable to work on local campaigns than the national ones. And GOTV is very important too. Those are both great choices.

4. Not mine.
They decided to have it early, Feb 23rd. They called everyone on the list. Ooops! I wasn't on the list. They still had March 11th on the website. Tell me about this NC DU'ers. This is my first election here and frankly it's not going too well.

5. my first NC election as well,
and i registered well over a month ago and have yet to receive anything. should i be worried that i'm not registered?
i think i'll look up the NC democratic headquarters. i'm really burnt out on the primary crap(all of my candidates are gone or never showed up) but cannot stand the thought of not voting in november.

6. You should be ok.
I never got a registration card when I signed up eight years ago. I have voted in every election since then. I just go in give them my name and they mark me off. If you want to make sure your registration is valid you can go here. http://www.app.sboe.state.nc.us/votersearch/seimsvot.htm

12. Look up your county board of elections in the blue pages and call them
They'll probably be helpful, since they don't know whether you're connected or not and they can really catch it from elected officials if they're screwin up. If necessary, walk into their office and talk to somebody in person. Call again, if needed. If too much time goes by without resolution, write a letter and save a copy. In NC, you have the right to cast a "provisional ballot" if you think you're registered but their records don't show it: so whatever happens, go vote!

8. You should be able to go here -
http://www.sboe.state.nc.us/votersearch/seimsvot.htm

to check to see if you are registered.

I found it invaluable when looking for places to live. ;)
