1. Statement of Solidarity
Dear Friends,

Fondest greetings and solidarity from the Asheville, North Carolina General Assembly. We've unanimously consented to adopt the New York City General Assembly''s declaration. We look forward to coordinating with your working groups about tactics that have been successful and our mutual triumphs.
The dramatic occupation of the 99% at Liberty Plaza is an inspiration to not only us but cities all over the world. We stand with you during this American Autumn and are laying the foundation of a network of resistance. Dismantling the most powerful and wealthiest institutions in history will be no easy task. If ever we had a defining moment, it is this one.

Stand strong,
Asheville General Assembly

Supporters worked to change that Tuesday night, lobbying City Council to set aside a 10 p.m. curfew for Pack Square Park so they could have a spot to camp indefinitely.

Council members were unwilling to make that step right away but agreed city staff would work with the group to find a temporary camping location, one that would be open to any other group as well.

Members said they had concerns over scheduling conflicts and were reluctant to change city policies on the spot. All city parks have a 10 p.m. curfew ...
