Thom Jackson: Thank You for Your Vote of Confidence!!!

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I want to thank you for your overwhelming support in the June 7th Democratic Primary Election. I am truly humbled by the great honor you have bestowed upon Janice Schindler and me as we strive to represent the 25th District in the State Assembly this November.

While victory is sweet, we do not have the luxury of savoring it for long. Now, the hard work truly begins. The competition is formidable and well-financed. I am keenly aware that our grassroots campaign will need to redouble our efforts in order to unseat the complacent, ineffectual, yet deeply entrenched Republican incumbents in the upcoming General Election. We will counter their rhetoric with our solid, well-reasoned stance on accountable government; property tax reform; affordable healthcare; controlled education spending and reform; and balanced and responsible state budgets.

One critical challenge we face in November is to convey and effectively persuade independent-minded voters that our no-nonsense, fiscally-responsible approach to governance is in the entire community’s best interest. I am already encouraged by the unsolicited feedback I’ve received from Independent and Republican voters alike that our message of change will undoubtedly resonate with their brethren.

Our campaign will seek and capitalize on every opportunity to expand our voter base, advocate for the issues most important to you, and highlight the vast differences between our vision for the community and those of the Republican incumbents. The future debate with Assemblyman Carroll affords us one such opportunity.

The pursuit of any elected office is a monumental undertaking that requires a top-notch campaign organization. I have been blessed with an enviable team of enthusiastic and dedicated folks who have invested their time and talents beyond that which I or any candidate could have hoped or expected. I could not have secured this victory were it not for the support of my family, crack campaign staff, distinguished advisors, and of course, a cadre of dedicated volunteers.

While I will do my best to thank everyone individually, I wish to use this forum to thank the entire Thom Jackson for Assembly team, my running mate, Janice Schindler, and the Morris County Democratic Committee for their hard work and support. You all have helped make the last few months both personally and professionally rewarding.

Thank you for your vote of confidence. With our growing momentum and your continued support, we loom closer to victory in November!

Democrats Thom Jackson and Janice Schindler have been hammering away at two incumbent 25th District Republican assemblymen for the past several weeks. Yesterday, they won their party's nomination to continue that battle into November.
