"Stop Bass-Stop the War"
Hi. I haven't been here in a long while but I wanted to ask if anyone saw these signs toward the end of the campaign in the Second District. I'm a member of a political action committee called "Swing the Vote". We put these signs (about 1000 of them) up all over the Second District about 2 weeks before the election. They came down in as little as 4 hours. We decided that we must have struck a nerve with the Bass folks so we put more up over the weekend before the election. Did anyone see them. Do you think they made a difference?

1. I saw them...loved 'em.
My parents live over in the Second and I saw them when I went to visit this fall. I liked them. They summed up the major issue in the election in one short, catchy easily understood sign. Well done.

It also amused me that someone was going around with blue spray paint and painting over the "B" on Bass' signs.

2. Pretty funny...
but Charlie didn't have much of a sense of humor! I wanted to do a sign saying "Charlie Bass My Ass! I'm voting for the Democrat" but that got vetoed. :-)

3. Great to see you posting!!!
I've missed having you around.

Whatever you folks did I'm glad you did it. NH had such a great outcome. I'm so happy for my neighbors to the west!

4. Nice to see you here too!
I'll stay in touch. Working politically in NH this year was a real thrill. 2008 is going to be a challenge.

6. Like father, like son.
We've talked about that and some folks are worried that working against him will tap our resources. Who might run against him?

7. Not sure yet
There are some good names being bounced around, a local mayor, some state senators, a couple of businesspeople. It should start heating up after the holidays.
