Nevada congressman pushes for more offshore oil drilling
NV Dems, we must make certain that this idiot does not become our next Governor!!! When called for help regarding the fuel crunch impact by one of our local officials last week who has helped him get elected in the past, he reacted as follows, "What do you want me to do? Walk up there with a gas can?" He was golfing at the time with high Bush admin officials according to the local official.

RENO, Nev. (AP) - Rep. Jim Gibbons, R-Nev., is pressing his colleagues to open up waters off California and other coastal states to offshore drilling to help ease the pinch of high gasoline prices.

Gibbons, chairman of the House Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources, made his request Saturday at a field hearing in Port Fourchon, La. - a day after a federal judge blocked plans to extend leases for oil and gas drilling off the central California coast.

"Great energy resources can be found offshore, and improved technology enables us to tap these vast oil and gas resources in an environmentally safe manner," Gibbons said.

2. I'll make Gibbons a deal
He can have oil drilling off of every coastline in the state of Nevada.

Haven't all of these Rocky Mountain Republicans bitched for years that the mean old federal government tramples all over the rights of local lands in the west? They say "let the locals decide how their lands are used!" Does that principle not apply to California? I guess it doesn't if the pigs in the oil industry want to use the California coast line as a playground for all of their little toys.

3. Is Nevada next to an ocean?
Maybe he should worry about his own state. Or he could try slant drilling to get to the ocean - good luck!

5. remember, this is the same idiot who said we should use liberals
wearing birkenstocks as human shields in Iraq in a "plagerized" speech he gave at a Republican dinner this year in Nevada. He's an idiot but tied in closely to Bush/Rove and the like. He got up close campaign advice from Rove while in town for the opening of the Wynn Casino in Vegas a couple of months ago.

7. We'll make you other states a deal - stop sending us your nuke waste, and
maybe then we'll stay out of your oceans!

Pressure and work for that issue like your life depended on it - If you don't, then you all can kiss my Vegas butt, big time!

My, my, my how you all don't seem to mind when the shoe is on the other foot!
