3. Wonder when
Rove and his party cronies will crack down on this "lack of party discipline".

4. Yeah, God bless our the independent senator!
The way he stood up to Bush and voted against the war.....oh, that's right, he was gungho from the start.

And the way he was against Bush's bankrupting tax cuts...oh, he was for those too.

He's about as independent as that other so-called maverick Senator - McCaine. That means he makes some half-hearted minor noises of dissent but eventually always falls in line with the Bush machine. What a scumbag.

"Tax cuts? He's a Republican for kryssakes"
So, because he's stupid/evil enough to be a Republican we're supposed to accept him and "love him" for bankrupting our future for a giveaway to the rich? I don't think so.

Hagel is the lowest of the low. The kind who once in awhile talks like he's reasonable but ends up kissing Bush's hindquarters anyway.

8. So, this is what you want from a Democrat?
*Rated 36% by the NEA, indicating a mixed record on public education. (Dec 2003)

*Rated 0% by the LCV, indicating anti-environment votes. (Dec 2003)

*Rated 100% by the Christian Coalition: a pro-family voting record. (Dec 2003)

*Rated 92% by CATO, indicating a pro-free trade voting record. (Dec 2002)

*Rated A by the NRA, indicating a pro-gun rights voting record. (Dec 2003)

*Rated 12% by APHA, indicating a anti-public health voting record. (Dec 2003)

*Rated 8% by the AFL-CIO, indicating an anti-labor voting record. (Dec 2003)

*Rated 22% by the ARA, indicating an anti-senior voting record. (Dec 2003)

So, a few words of supposed dissent are supposed to make up for this kind of record. I guess Nebraskans are as blindly loyal to their horrible politicians as they are to their sports teams.

10. He's actually better than the "Democratic" Senator from his state...
In some respects. But I don't think that Chuck Hagel would make a good democrat.

9. I like Hagel, too, but the guy was Dubya's state campaign chairman.
For someone who bashes Bush regularly, he has a funny way of showing it.

Then again, if he ever wants to be President, he has to tow the line.

11. Hagel is only priming the pump for his run for President. He's still a
a liar no matter how you try to pretty up this picture. ES&S is the dark ugly secret in his closet. And the lie he told about his connection to the company.

As for Ben Nelson, he's a coward and a weasel. He's not a democrat. He only changed parties so he could run for the Senate. Ben Nelson is pretty much a joke even in Nebraska. Especially in Nebraska.
