Wonder who the local sponsors are. Palin's usual fee is $100,000, so someone must be footing the bill.

2. heh
On May 1st the teabagger/birther/hopey-changey/hockey universe will converge in the eastern suburbs when Sarah Palin makes a speech at the Independence Events Center. It’s really a perfect venue for this hot mess, you betcha. Not only did Palin try to appropriate Independence’s Harry Truman during the 2008 campaign, the Independence arena is home to the Missouri Mavericks hockey team and sits between a Hooters and a Bass Pro Shop. And of course for the churchy contingent, Jackson County is the Garden of Eden.
