"Oprah is a pig" and "Obama is a closet Muslim"
Heard both of these ridiculous statements today on Shanin and Parks.

Mike Shanin was talking about Oprah and Elizabeth Edwards on her show tomorrow and he said "speaking of pigs" and laughed. I thought he was talking about Elizabeth. But he went on to talk about how much weight Oprah has gained lately.

Then an hour or so later, Scott Parks said the reason Obama is not going to the National Day of Prayer tomorrow is "obvious". It's because "Obama is a closet Muslim".

He wasn't kidding.

I turned on the show both times to catch some local news. And this is what I heard.

Why the hell are these kinds of comments okay on local am radio?
