For when the GOP starts to use this Blunt slime to go after Nixon
A conservative ditto head recently claimed: Nixon "took money from AmerenUE handling the lawsuit against them. Took Money during the investigation and only gave it back after he was found out."

Lies.

Nixon didn't take a dime from Ameren after the Taum Sauk reservoir collapse. He took money from many Democratic committees, a minority of which had taken money from Ameren. But that isn't what this covert freeper said.

Ameren spokeswoman Susan Gallagher said that Ameren never asked the campaign committees to steer money to Nixon and gave nothing to the Nixon campaign after the reservoir collapse. Yet this guy said that Nixon "took money from AmerenUE" and did so "during the investigation." Which is false. Why would he distort the facts like that? Lets see...

Ameren's general counsel Steve Sullivan's testimony before the Missouri's Public Service Commission said that he "had never personally been asked or even approached by the Attorney General, his staff or his campaign for any contribution." That assertion comes from a Blunt spokesman.

So where does the accusations of funneling, donations, and intent come from? The Blunt campaign.
