What did Arnie Carlson announce?

A friend sent me an e-mail that on Wendy Wilds show an announcement was made that Arnie Carlson had an angry statement to deliver...anyone know anything about this?

2. I was wondering where Arne Carlson was on all this.

I'm glad Durenberger spoke up, too, in CityPages.

I believe moderate Republicans are almost as upset by the RWN as we are. Some of them may still be feeling the afterglow of the big "win" in November, but I think that's wearing off.

6. Arne Carlson endorsed Kerry in 2004

In fact, I hear he calls himself a political independent lately, because of the state of the GOP in MN.

His ex-wife, moderate Repub and former Mpls City Councilwoman Barbara Carlson, also switched parties last year.

State Sen. Shiela Kiscaden (I-Rochester) was also kicked out of the Republican caucus in the senate by Minority Leader Dick Day because she refused to toe the party line. She ran as an independent last time, and won quite handily.

The state GOP still hasn't learned the lessons from the Alan Quist era. They keep forcing out the fiscally responsible moderates because they don't support vouchers are aren't sufficiently 'pro-life'. They won the last governor's race by a fluke with less than 40% of the popular vote.

They are in no way the majority party in MN, despite what they think.
