| Anyone go to the "No stolen elections" rally at the Capitol on Sat? |
|
I showed up promptly at 10 to noon and no one was there.
Didn't realize till later that it started at 1 p.m.
Anyhow, was wondering about turnout, speakers, media, etc.

I'm told. I couldn't go, but an activist friend/neighbor of mine did.
She said there was no press (what a surprise, right?)
There were signs reading "No Stolen Elections". She said the speakers weren't very motivating. Information was given out with websites, etc. where people can get more information.
Really, I think we need to get information out via flyers.
Some of us from the MoveOn GOTV plan to print out some of the flyers people have posted here at DU (such as the one Recounts for Dummies) and go door-to-door. A good site with lots of information to send people to is www.nov2truth.org, by the way.

I had a feeling there would be a low turnout, and that's why I wanted to go (boost the numbers). I think a lot of people just didn't know about it. I heard about it through an alert for UFP&J.
Is there a canvass date planned by MoveOn or any other group? If so, let me know. Need to keep this higher profile.
